Top 5 Navigation and Maps Apps Performance in Italy for Q2 2024

In the second quarter of 2024, the top navigation and maps apps in Italy demonstrated varied performance in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at the trends for Q2 2024, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Google Maps Go saw a consistent increase in downloads, peaking at around 42.8K in the final week of June. The app maintained a strong user base with weekly active users rising from 8.5M at the start of April to approximately 8.8M by the end of June.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic also exhibited a steady download trend, with notable spikes reaching up to 32K in the final week of April and June. Active users fluctuated slightly, starting at 1.27M in early April and ending at about 1.31M in late June.

Google Earth experienced a significant spike in downloads mid-April, hitting 45.2K. Weekly active users remained relatively stable throughout the quarter, averaging around 260K.

GPS, Maps, Voice Navigation showed a gradual increase in both downloads and revenue. Downloads peaked at approximately 8.3K in mid-June, while revenue reached a high of $277 in mid-May. Active users followed a similar upward trend, ending the quarter at around 25.6K.

Lastly, Offline Maps, GPS, Speedometer had a mixed performance. Downloads fluctuated, peaking at 7.5K in mid-May, while active users saw a peak of 8.4K in mid-May before declining to about 6.7K by the end of June.
